Food-Trends

Every year has its own very special food and eating trends. Be it Superfoods, Bowls or Streetfood. I went on a search for the food trends for you and discovered many interesting and curious things.

On this page, you will find four exciting Food Trends, which could become popular with us this year.

Each year brings forth its own new trends. In recent years, for example, more and more so-called superfoods have come out, which are best prepared directly in the trucks of the street food kitchen. In addition, detox drinks, algae and everything that is meatless were advertised.

I’m going on a search for food trends for you and discover a lot of interesting and curious things. I found it at Baum + Whitemans Food Trend Report and in excerpts of the Food Report by Hanni Rützler and Wolfgang Reiter. I have noticed time and again that some of the trends predicted for the last few years have apparently not yet really taken hold.

Of course, these are then a direct trend for the following year.  In this series of articles, I will introduce you to some of the hottest food trends and I will also test one or the other trend directly. Be curious.

Levantine Cuisine

The roots of Levantine cuisine lie in the Eastern Mediterranean countries such as Israel, Syria or Jordan. It is predominantly vegetarian and is considered healthy and varied. Typical representatives are for example falafel or hummus. Read more about the background and ingredients of Levantine cuisine here.

Filipino Food

Basic ingredients of the Philippine cuisine are mainly rice, fish and seafood in all variations. Due to the influences of neighboring Asian countries and some former seafaring nations, the food in the Philippines is very varied but often resembles European cuisine.

Fried Pickles

As soul food, fried pickles and other vegetables are a varied snack for the soul. In the south of the USA, they have long been known and widespread. For this purpose, the cucumbers are cut into slices or slices, coated with beer batter and deep-fried. Here I show you how to make them.

Tea-Cocktails

Next summer, not only Gin Tonics & Co. but also refreshing cocktails with different teas such as Earl Grey, Green Tea, Japanese Matcha and many more await us. The tea gives the cocktail new flavors and the alcohol gives the tea a more intense taste.
