Moroccan orange dessert

On hot days you are happy for any kind of refreshment. Since it is often hot in Morocco, it is almost logical that many refreshments like this orange dessert with honey and mint are needed there.

Georgian Badridschani

Badridschani are delicious eggplants filled with a walnut paste, which are often served as an appetizer. This vegan specialty is also perfect as light but refined finger food for your next buffet.

Kabuli Palau

Kabuli Palau is an Afghan rice dish with lamb, raisins and carrots. The combination of cardamom, garam masala and coriander create a unique taste. For this recipe, I have added poultry.

Isarelian Shakshuka

Shakshuka is a dish originating from North Africa. Probably it came to Israel with Tunisian Jews and has their quasi attained the status of a national court. It is traditionally prepared with eggs, tomatoes, and onions.

Mercimek Çorbası

The Mercimek Çorbası is a spicy lentil soup, which is gladly eaten in Turkey. However, there is not the typical original recipe, because every household cooks its own version and there are thousands of them. Here you can find my version.

Balila

Balila is a kind of warm chickpea salad from Lebanon, which could also be described as a kind of mixture of hummus and mashed potatoes. Garlic, parsley and caraway give the dish a typical oriental touch.

Sheikh al-Mahshi

The Sheikh al-Mahshi is also considered the court of kings and has its origin in the Middle East. With the spices like cumin and garam masala as well as the yogurt-mint sauce, you conjure up a touch of the Orient directly in your kitchen.

Oriental Chickpeas

Kichererbsen are variously applicable and in combination with some eastern spices, one can conjure oneself in only 20 minutes a fast vegans end of workday meal. One of my recipes for oriental chickpeas I show you here.
